Canada's 48th National Prayer Breakfast - June 3rd & 4th, 2013
at the Westin Hotel Ottawa, Ontario
The National Prayer Breakfast is an annual ecumenical event offered under the auspices of the Speakers of the Senate and the House of Commons. This is organized by a group of dedicated volunteers and the members of the Weekly Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast.
The Prayer Breakfast is a celebration of freedom of religious expression, particularly the Christian church, we are blessed to have in our great and free country.

In order to give as many people as possible the opportunity to experience the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast, we are asking that you forward us the names and addresses of individuals who have not attended in the past and would benefit from participating in this unique event. We will be sending invitations to previous attendees but would like to open the National Prayer Breakfast events to others as well. The beginning of what we think of as the modern day Prayer Breakfast began in Seattle, Washington, in 1935. Community leaders gathered to face a critical situation in the life of their city. Seattle was at that time a place known for it's corruption and abuse of the poor. It soon became evident to these leaders that their wealth and influence alone could not meet the many challenges the city faced...
